The Indigenous Business Award Criteria

Hardship Endured

Everyone’s journey is unique and the Judges acknowledge this and take into account the hurdles you have had to jump over.

Obstacles overcome

Sometimes a great idea is not enough. Many nominees have numerous issues to address before they can even begin to succeed in business.

Company financial viability

The financials are the backbone of the awards. The business must be genuinely thriving for at least three years.

Ingenuity in the marketplace

What is your product and where does it sit in the marketplace? Creativity is also being judged in these awards.

Positioning in the marketplace

The judges ask about the competition and your company’s positioning.

Contribution

Giving back to communities and the nation. This is also included in your company’s story and is shared with the judges.

“Diversity includes every culture and excludes none”.
